Iris is a health economist. She has held several positions in the Israeli health system, including being responsible for the $10 billion Israeli health budget in the Ministry of Finance. She served for more than a decade as a member of the public committee that determines which new medicines and treatments will be added to the Israeli health basket. Iris holds a BA in Economics, MBA, and MA in Philosophy of Science. Being a frustrated health economist, Iris volunteers as a medic in United Hatzala.
